ABOUT SOO BAHK DO

Soo Bahk Do is a traditional Korean martial art with a history dating back many centuries. Developed into its modern form by Founder Hwang Kee, the art continues to be led by his son and current Grandmaster, H.C. Hwang. It combines traditional martial arts techniques with physical training, discipline and personal development.

Training includes kicks, strikes, blocks, forms and partner work, with an emphasis on developing strong technique alongside qualities such as discipline, respect, focus and perseverance. Soo Bahk Do is not primarily a competitive sport; instead, it places importance on continuous improvement and developing the whole person through martial arts training.

At Dojang X, students of different ages and abilities can experience this traditional martial art in a friendly, supportive training environment.

Sabrina brings her experience as both a martial artist and instructor to every class, teaching the traditional techniques, discipline and values of Soo Bahk Do while making martial arts approachable for today’s children, families and adults.
